literacy lesson
In this lesson, I taught the students literacy lesson and the strand was about connect illustrations, diagrams and pictures to text to gain comprehension. I used website that read the story with movie but I stopped in each page and asked them about the pictures and what they understand from the pictures and I asked about their think and ideas. they like the way and they guess many nice events for the story before the saw te events. They did the activities well and just they need some helps from me. the lesson was excited.

The first activity, it was for high level. I gave them paper with one picture and I asked them to write three sentences about the pictures. Describe the picture or what they felt when they saw the pictures. They like that each student wrote different sentences.
The third activity, it was match sentences to pictures. It was for middle level. I gave those different pictures and different sentences and I asked them to post pictures with suitable sentences.It was easy for them and they did the activity and liked it.

The fourth activity was the same third but with different and easy sentences. It was match sentences to pictures. It was for second middle level. I gave those different pictures and different sentences and I asked them to post pictures with suitable sentences. It was easy for them and they did the activity and liked it.
The fifth activity, it was match word to pictures for low level. It was easy for the other students but not for low level. They liked the activity and post the word with the right pictures but I gave them hints to help them.

On Thursday, 14 \ May \ 2015. It was last lesson, I taught them literacy and the strand was connect illustrations, diagrams and pictures to text to gain comprehension. My lesson met the outcome and the students got the lesson. In the closing stage, I had chosen one student in each groups to talk about their activity. Talked about the sentences they wrote, talked about the feeling when the see the pictures and talked about the picture has clues to the meaning of the word. They like the activities. However, some of the activities took time because they were slowly to do it I meant the middle group. Therefore, I switched some activities. I felt it was so nice lesson. The boys interested and understood the lesson. I think they like to discuss together and talk (students talk time) I allow then to talk more time than I did.
