Lesson Plan 1

literacy lesson

In this lesson, I taught the students about new vocabulary. I used read aloud approach. first I explained them about footprint and the difference between each footprint. then I told them about the purpose of reading the story. after reading the story they did the activities and liked them finally they back to the carpet and I evaluated them if they understand the lesson.

Materials

Materials 1 and 2. the students did the activity very well and understood the footprints of animals and poeple.

The third material for middle level, the students liked the activities. they played it several time and read the vocabulary to me.

The fourth activity, it was for low level, they read the word and saw the picture them use play-dough to make footprints for each pictures.

Reflection 1

 

On Wednesday, 29\ April\2014. I did the first lesson it was about Literacy. In general, it went good. In the opening, I had a weak introduction when I began. However, when I started to read the story I did some nice things that my teacher liked such as, I hold the book overturned then the students said teacher you hold the book overturned, I pretended I did not understand things, then one of the students came and turn the book for me. Then I read the story for them and they read it with me. In the activity stage, I asked them to come around one table and I sat with them there. Some students were sitting and some stand up but all of them were focus to me. I used the way because my mentor did it and I saw it worked well. Nevertheless, I think I have to do it by different ways because there was some mess. The activities were nice and they students like it. I think I am good in create the activities but I need to improve in some areas more. The closing was easy, I check their work then I asked all the students to read what they have. My teacher and I were surprised because most of them could read the story and the sentences in the story well although it was a new story for them. My teacher said I thought they cannot read it but they could. I was happy because my lesson met the outcome as my teacher said me. The first lesson made me to be more careful to next one and focus to some areas such as introduction.
