Lesson plan 2

Literacy lesson

The lesson was second lesson. I taught in this lesson literacy as well. However, it was a new story that the student have to take from the school. It was a new story for them. They understood the lesson because I used look-say approach. I used authentic objects and pictures. They did the activities and liked them. In the closing stage, I evaluated by choosing one student to use the equipment and the other student chose the word that fit the equipment from the smart board.

The first material.They like the words board games, they throw the dice and move to the number that they got. ten read the words. They have to read two words correctly to get one counter. the activity was for high level.

The third material. it was secret messages that the students liked. I gave then empty colorful papers and I asked them to colored the paper to discover the words and read it.

The second material. They played the words wheel game, they liked it. they turned the stick and wait until it stopped. they read the word that the stick stopped in. Then they chose the equipmen that fit the word when they chose the right equipmen they get one point.

The fourth material. it was foam sort game for low level. they liked it and got benefit from it. it was easy but the level get some difficult.

Sunday, May 03, 2015. I did my second lesson, I think it was so nice lesson and the students enjoyed and the same time learn new vocabulary and organize the sound of the animals or equipment also they learn 2 kind of sound soft and loud. They got what I teach them fast. I taught them about vocabulary and made all the activities about it. However, I wrote the wrong outcome so my lesson with the activities did not meet the outcome. It was my mistake, because first, I had chosen the outcome and I wanted to teach them the story and let some boys read it. However, I changed my plan and chose to teach them vocabulary because, it will be the first time they will take the lesson and I did not change the outcome although it was on my teacher weekly lesson plan. It was a big mistake and I did not give my lesson plan for school mentor before the reason of this I did my lesson plan in weekend and no time to discuss about it.   In the end, the students learnt the vocabulary very well and know to compare between soft and loud sounds.  I learnt a big lesson in this lesson, it’s that to be careful about what I wrote in the lesson plan and focus to outcome and do something to meet it. I spent most my time to create the activity I didn’t reread the outcome I just read the strand in the lesson and did the activities. In the next time, I will be careful and focus to outcome more than the activities.
