Task 7

In this page, I observed teacher and students in the opening stage then draw how many times the teacher talked and how many times the students talked.

  • Create a chart (see below) that illustrates the interaction patterns observed during the initial meeting Time in the English classroom.

 

  • Draw up a seating plan and draw lines between the people who are speaking together. Use the example lines outlined in the key below (taken from Wajnryb, R. (1992) Classroom Observation Tasks: A Resource book for language teachers and trainers. Cambridge University Press) but you may also need to create some of your own as appropriate.
